Unfortunate news


Hello all!

I'm sure from reading the title you'll already know I don't come bearing gifts or good news. Unfortunately due to some errors in either the program I use or my own computer, the project file of Velocity is unusable. 

Now this might sound bad! And, to be fair, it kind of is. But it's not the worst. From all the feedback I've gotten from friends that got close looks at the progress of the game I got waaayyy better ideas in mind for what this game will be. And those ideas were initially going to be saved for a sequel or spin-off. However now that I have a chance to completely restart from scratch, I feel like I can make this game better than what it was going to be in the first place.

There will just be slight changes in gameplay and story. So all the cars and their planned customization will still be the same. I won't be sharing much information about all the new ideas, but I still want to at least close this message off with something fun.

Instead of a system that resembles NFS Underground with its fast travel to events from the garage, the game will be fully open world with an optional fast travel system. Which means instead of multiple smaller maps, I will be creating a full open world map.

I have big new plans for the customization. Instead of only being able to change the front bumper, I will add fully custom modeled bodykits that will range from realistic track racing kits to custom tuner and maybe even ricer kits. For all my Underground 2 bros

And lastly I want to apologize for the lack of updates and info I've been giving out. I've recently gotten a fulltime job which has been eating away a lot of my free time. I still enjoy working on this and a lot of my other game projects, but I do also want to be able to enjoy the time I have where I'm not at work.

In conclusion: The game is not scrapped. It will be continued and will be way better than what I originally planned it to be. I do not have a release date in mind yet as I don't want to stress myself with a deadline and don't want it to become a CarX Street situation. However I will do my best to work on this game as best and as much as I possibly can.
